Welcome to War Command (the "Game"), a war-themed strategy mobile game developed by Appear Games (referred to as "we", "us", or "the Studio"). We understand the importance of privacy and are committed to protecting all players' personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information, as well as the rights you have.

Please read this policy carefully before using the Game. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please stop using the Game immediately. By downloading, installing, or playing War Command, you indicate that you have read, understood, and agree to all terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

To provide core game functionality (rank progression, honor medal statistics, level progress, etc.) and optimize your gaming experience, we may collect the following types of information:

• Device Information: Including device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (such as Android ID, IDFA/OAID), screen resolution, network type (Wi-Fi/cellular). This information is used to adapt to different device performance, ensure stable game operation, and prevent cheating.
• Game Data & Progress: Including your rank level, number of honor medals, level completion records, unlocked battle maps, in-game building/unit usage statistics. This data is used to implement core gameplay and cross-device save functionality (if cloud save is enabled in the future).
• Anonymous Identifiers: We may generate an internal player ID to distinguish players, count active users, and improve game balance. This ID is not linked to your real identity.

We do not actively collect your real name, phone number, precise location, contacts, SMS, or other sensitive personal information. The Game does not require mandatory account registration, and all game progress is saved locally by default. If we introduce an account system in the future, we will inform you separately and obtain your consent.

2. How We Use Information

The information we collect is used for the following purposes:

• Provide, maintain, and optimize the basic functions and battle experience of War Command (including rank promotion judgment, level selection, and map resource generation).
• Track total in-game medals, global leaderboards (based on anonymous player IDs), and game duration to adjust game balance.
• Diagnose and fix technical issues to improve game stability (based on crash logs and device information).
• Push game updates and event notifications (in-game popups or app store notifications only; no marketing emails).
• Prevent fraud, malicious attacks, and rule violations (such as exploiting bugs to farm medals).

We do not use your personal information for personalized advertising. Currently, the Game does not contain third-party advertising SDKs or any form of banner ads or rewarded video ads. If we need to integrate advertising services in the future for business development, we will notify you in advance through in-game announcements or other means and update this policy to clarify advertising-related information handling.

3. Information Sharing & Disclosure

We will never sell, rent, or trade any player's personal information. Information may only be shared in the following circumstances:

• Legal Requirements: At the request of government agencies, courts, or law enforcement, and in compliance with legal requirements.
• Game Security & Operations: To maintain normal game operations, we may store necessary data with third-party cloud service providers (such as server providers for save data). These providers have signed confidentiality agreements and comply with privacy regulations.
• Mergers or Acquisitions: If the Studio undergoes restructuring, merger, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of the assets, but we will continue to comply with this Privacy Policy or notify you in advance.

Currently, War Command does not use any third-party analytics tools (such as Firebase or Unity Analytics). All game statistics are processed internally in anonymized aggregate form. If we integrate third-party SDKs in the future, we will update this policy and clearly disclose their privacy practices.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your game data (such as level progress, medals, ranks) is primarily stored locally on your mobile device. We do not require cloud synchronization, but for data backup, you can manage game saves through your device's built-in backup features. If cloud storage is provided in the future, we will use industry-standard encrypted transmission (TLS protocol) and store data in secure servers located in Singapore or Frankfurt.

We adopt industry-standard physical, technical, and administrative measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss, such as firewalls, database encryption, and regular security audits. However, due to inherent risks of internet transmission, we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your device secure.

5. Children's Privacy

This Game is intended for users aged 12 and above (based on content rating recommendations for strategy games with mild violence). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and discover that your child has provided personal information to us without your consent, please contact us using the information below, and we will delete the relevant data within a reasonable time.

6. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA Applicable)

Depending on the privacy laws in your region (such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation and California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have the following rights:

• Right to Access: Request information about the categories and specific content of your personal information.
• Right to Correction: Correct game data you believe is inaccurate (contact customer support for rank or medal issues).
• Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your game-related data. Please note that deletion may result in loss of game progress, but you can start over.
• Right to Restrict Processing: Limit our processing of your data in certain circumstances.
• Right to Data Portability: Receive a copy of the data you provided in a structured format.

To exercise these rights, please contact us by email. We will respond within 15 business days. Note that since the Game does not require mandatory identity binding, we may need you to provide sufficient device identification information to verify your identity.

7. Required Device Permissions

To run the Game's core functions, War Command may request the following permissions, which you can disable at any time in system settings:

• Network Access: Required to download level data, update game resources, and potentially sync leaderboards in the future. The Game can run offline if denied, but cannot connect to the internet.
• Storage Permission (Optional): Required to save game configuration files and progress. If denied, the Game uses internal storage by default without affecting basic gameplay.

The Game does not request phone, camera, microphone, or location permissions.

8. Data Retention Period

We retain your game progress data for as long as you use the Game. If you do not log in for 12 consecutive months or request deletion, we may clear local or cloud historical data. Medal and rank statistics will be retained anonymously for game balance analysis, no longer linked to any device identifiers.

9. Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes (such as adding new data collection types or introducing third-party SDKs) will be notified through in-game announcements, email, or official website. Revised versions take effect upon publication. Your continued use of the Game constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically.
